Municipal registration
If you live or work in the Netherlands, you need to register with your municipality within five days of your arrival. After you have registered, you will be assigned a citizen service number (BSN). As a resident of gemeente De Ronde Venen, you can register at:
- Utrecht International Center. You will receive your BSN as soon as possible, but no later than 5 working days after your appointment.
Please note: it is not possible to register at the Utrecht International Center with a postal address.
- The Municipality of gemeente De Ronde Venen. You will receive your BSN as soon as possible, but no later than 4 weeks after your appointment. Call 0297 29 16 31 to make an appointment.

Gemeente De Ronde Venen is collaborating with the Utrecht International Center to help international residents settle in. You can visit the centre to arrange your residence permit, register with your municipality, and get answers to your questions about living and working in Utrecht Region.
